Church attenders and leaders across 20 denominations were asked in the National Church Life Surveys about their views on extramarital sexual relations.
There was little change over time in the views of church attenders and senior local church leaders regarding sexual relations outside marriage, with an overwhelming majority of the view that the practice is ‘always wrong’.
