About Generation Z church attenders:
This Church Attender Profile provides an insight into church attenders in Australia, in the Gen Z* generation cohort (born 1996-2006).
Their views and experiences are presented on the NCLS vitality measures of church health.
The Profile is based on responses from church attenders, aged 15 and over, who completed the 2021 National Church Life Survey.
*The definition of Gen Z includes persons born 1996-2010 (aged 11-25 in 2021). The NCLS surveyed attenders aged 15+, so for the Gen Z cohort, attenders aged 15-25 in 2021 are included.
