This report builds on previous work by NCLS Research to faithfully report on the health of the Australian churches, including estimates of church attendance.
Church health and vitality can be evaluated in many different ways. This Pulse Check offers two key indicators:
- Average weekly church attendance.
- Number of faith commitments.
This report provides Australia-wide estimates for these indicators in 2025, based on a survey of local churches conducted in October and November. These results are based on 1,005 churches.
